The project
More than a game.
A pathway forward.
Jambo Shot Foundation connects basketball, education, and personal development. We work with people rooted in the local community to strengthen what is already there and help young people turn talent, effort, and ambition into real choices.

Why basketball?
A basketball court is more than a place to play. It is a place where young people learn consistency, teamwork, leadership, confidence, and how to keep showing up. It creates belonging before it creates performance.
For Jambo Shot, the game is the door through which education, mentorship, and opportunity can enter.
Our model
The Court
We support safe, consistent basketball activities led by local coaches. Training gives children and young adults a structured place to develop skills, discipline, friendships, and confidence.
The Classroom
We connect participation in sport with educational support. Depending on local needs and available resources, this may include school materials, tuition or scholarship assistance, learning opportunities, and access to mentors.
The Future
We help young people imagine and prepare for what comes next. Mentorship, personal development, and exposure to new opportunities can help turn potential into a direction that belongs to them.
How we work
Local leadership first
Priorities are shaped with the people who know the community best.
Basketball and education together
Athletic growth and academic growth reinforce one another.
Long-term relationships
Trust and consistency matter more than one-time interventions.
More room to choose
Our goal is to expand choices and build on the strengths young people already have.
Transparent support
Supporters should understand what is funded and what progress is being made.
